Orangutan photo 1

Here, I am wrestling and tickling with two juvenile male orangutans, Apollo Bob and Asep in 1987 at Camp Leakey, Tanjung Puting National Park, Kalimantan Tengah, Indonesia. These orangutans were former pets that were released back into the wild at this location. I assisted Dr. Biruté Galdikas with her research on orangutans as a volunteer for Earthwatch. Dr. Galdikas is currently supported by the Orangutan Foundation International.
